After a long day today, I needed a couple of hours of fun to myself. Where did I go? The casino of course! There is a casino located less than 10 minutes to my home and it is so tempting. I am not a Gambaholic by any means but I can say that it does take my stress level to a bottom low. Because I feel guilty on blowing cash on machines I only go with the bare minimum, $40 to be exact. Some might judge me and think, "Wow, $40 can go a long way with how the economy is", and your all probably right. However, I feel that as adults we sometimes forget to have fun. What happened to feeling like a kid at an arcade? Well that's exactly how the slots make me feel. While I was at the casino, I met the nicest lady. She was incredibly lucky and was winning well over 2k. She was giving $10's and $20's away to those around her, including myself. Her motto was give and you will receive much more in return. Boy was she right! After she gave me a $20 when my $40 was almost extinct, her machine turned around and rewarded her with a whopping $899.00 on top of the $2k she already had. She was so cheerful and full of joy. Every time she gave a little away to someone she would wish them the same luck and was almost immediately rewarded with more. This lady was not crazy or drunk like some of the other casino players I am sure you have witnessed. She was just happy with life.
Was it just luck or was she truly being blessed for having such a kind heart? Perhaps we should all take her motto and run with it, maybe then our luck will change.
